He began working in a locum physiotherapy role with the National Institute of Circus Arts and Gymnastics Victoria Teams soon after he first graduated. This allowed him to gain a unique experience in the elite sporting field early in his career, improving his approach to injury prevention and musculoskeletal injury management and rehabilitation.

Following this he had roles working at Essendon Hospital, and numerous Aged Care Facilities. This varied caseload has provided him an opportunity to grow and become a dynamic and versatile member of our team. He was fortunate enough to work as an assistant physiotherapist for the Australian Diving Team at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and has worked individually on past and current AFL, LFL, A-League elite athletes.

Michael is currently a team physiotherapist for Athletics Australia, working with Australia's top track and field athletes. Having travelled to work in Philadelphia for the Penn Relay Championships, to Bahamas for the World Relay Championships and to South Korea for the World University Games and many other top level athletics meets including camps at the AIS in Canberra.

Adding to his physiotherapy experience he is also a qualified Personal Trainer, a qualified Strength & Conditioning Coach and Weightlifting/Sports Power Coach, which allows him to maximise athletic performance and prevent injury especially during the rehabilitation process of an injury.

He is equipped to utilise Dry Needling, Clinical Pilates and Real-Time Ultrasound to diagnose and manage a vast array of conditions both in the sporting athlete and the general population. He is passionate about his learning and is constantly completing courses to advance his knowledge to achieve better results for his patients and athletes.

Due to his passion for sports Michael is currently completing his Masters in Exercise Science (Strength and Conditioning) and has aspirations to complete his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in the future. Outside of work he loves listening to music, surfing, swimming, tennis and snowboarding and keeps himself as active as possible in his out of work endeavours to maintain his health and fitness.
